Student Government Association

SGA was established in the 2012-2013 school year by Mrs. Diane McCarty and has been actively working to make Oak Grove better ever since. SGA offers students a wonderful opportunity to gain hands on experience helping to improve our school. There are multiple officer positions that students can run for during their sophomore, junior, and senior year. SGA Sponsored Events
SGA's biggest project each year is the annual Community Clean-Up we host in March. This is one of the largest clean-ups in Jefferson County and the SGA has received many awards for it over the past four years. Other SGA Sponsored Events include:
  • Homecoming King Penny Drop
  • Homecoming T-shirt Design/Sale
  • Veterans Day Program
  • Presidential/Political Debates
  • Thanksgiving Food Drive
