This semester Mr. Pope’s Internet Marketing class has been working on a project centered on the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (ASHOF). Students were tasked with creating a complete social media campaign that the ASHOF could incorporate into their current public relations plans.
In a culmination of this project, on Friday, December 9th, Oak Grove High School welcomed ASHOF Executive Director Scott Myers and his colleagues Bill Miller, Sarah-Kate Roberts, and Trisha Trigg on campus to hear what the students had come up with. Ten groups pitched their proposals, discussing their ideas with the executives, and receiving feedback from the panel. The students even taught the execs a thing or two about social media platforms along the way.
Through well-prepared presentations, these students gave the ASHOF many viable ideas to reach the younger generation. Our students once again proved that they are not only college, career, and life ready. They have what it takes to contribute and lead in today’s digital society.
